It’s a fact! Not all all-inclusive rooms are created equal!
So if you’re planning a big vacation, you need to understand exactly what you’re paying for when it comes to all-inclusive accommodations.
Because let’s face it: you don’t want a view of the parking lot if you’re expecting to see the ocean from your balcony!
While all resorts are unique, most all-inclusive rooms are categorized into 3 groups: entry level, mid-range, and deluxe (or club).

Entry Level Accommodations
Entry level rooms include the basics: a clean bed, standard bathroom, and little to no frills.
Your entry level room will likely overlook landscaping (often described as a “tropical view” in the descriptions online) or even a parking lot.
These rooms are often located near elevators and/or high traffic areas, so if you’re a light sleeper or plan to use your room as a quiet retreat, you might not want to choose this option.
The pros? Entry level accommodations are generally the most affordable of the bunch! So if you aren’t concerned about luxuries and frills, this might be a good option for you.
Mid-Range Accommodations
As you’ve probably guessed, mid-range rooms offer more amenities, more comfort, and better service.
For example, guests who stay in mid-range accommodations might have higher quality linens and toiletries. They are typically in a better location as well.
These rooms often include ocean/more scenic views and can be quieter than entry level spaces.
Deluxe/Club Accomodations
If you’re ready to splurge, then you’ll want to book a deluxe room.
These offer the highest level of service and might even include a concierge or butler!
Butlers at all-inclusives resorts elevate the experience to a whole new level; they act as your personal liaison to the property and get to know your tastes and preferences to make your stay extra special.
Deluxe rooms also often offer exclusive amenities such as a lounge, pool, an in-room gift, luxury linens, a pillow menu, and other resort perks, which vary by location.
Lastly, these accommodations are often centrally located, making it easy to access the most popular parts of the resort. (Think: main pool, spa, and restaurants.)
