How to Give the Gift of Travel
What’s my motto when it comes to gift giving? Experiences, not things!
I know I’m a little biased, but I believe travel is one of the best gifts you can give a friend or loved one.
Travel encourages togetherness, memory making, and can introduce your loved ones to new and different cultures. (When was the last time a toaster or sweater did that for you?)
Also, travel offers adventure, excitement, and anticipation that lasts well beyond the special occasion you're celebrating.
In other words, travel is the gift that literally keeps on giving!

For The Gift Giver Who Wants to Go All In
If you really want to wow your loved one, surprise them with their dream vacation!
You can book the whole thing, including resort accommodations, park/attraction tickets, transportation, and everything else they’ll need to enjoy their time away.
Here are a few destination ideas:
Walt Disney World
Universal Studios
Cruise vacation
Accommodations at an all-inclusive resort
Note: when you book with a travel advisor, all you’ll (most likely need) are the recipient's names and birthdays.
And if you select this option, be sure to book with a refundable deposit, just in case the travel plans don’t work for your recipient.

For The Gift Giver Who Wants to Contribute
This is a great option if you know your recipient has already booked a vacation.
You can assist by making a payment or paying the deposit on the trip.
Or you could purchase gift cards to be used either to make payments towards the trip or as spending money during the vacation. (This option works really well if your recipient has a Disney trip coming up since Disney gift cards are sold at many retailers!)
Other options? Purchase airfare or donate mileage/points. You could also cover the rental car!
For The Gift Giver Who Loves to Surprise
Want to really surprise your recipient? Consider purchasing trip add-ons for a vacation that have already been planned.
For example, if your recipient has an upcoming all-inclusive or cruise vacation coming up, why not surprise them with a day at the spa or a fun excursion.
Other options include:
Upgrading their airfare from coach to first class
A transfer upgrade
A photo package or photo session.
Creative Ways to Present Your Gift
Want to really wow your recipient? Here are a few ways to creatively present your travel gift!
Get a beach/pool bag and fill it with sunscreen, a snorkel, flip flops, and a floppy hat with a note that says “you’ll need this for your trip to __________!
Wrap a blank photo album with a note that tells your recipient to fill the pages with memories from their upcoming trip to __________.
Head to Etsy and purchase custom-made Disney or Universal Studios t-shirts with your recipients names on them!
Bonus Ideas: Travel Accessories
If you want to give something tangible, consider travel accessories.
These make great gifts, and your recipient will appreciate your thoughtfulness!
Luggage
Travel bags
Travel pillow/eye mask
Luggage tags
Packing cubes
Waterproof camera for diving/snorkeling
Passport/vaccination card holder
Wrapping Up
Remember: gifting travel isn’t just for the holiday season! It can be gifted for any occasion (or for no occasion at all)!
I’ll sum it up with this:
